As the founder of Goldfish Counselling, I am dedicated to providing compassionate support to neurodivergent individuals and families. As a registered counsellor, with post-graduate qualifications in autism studies, I am deeply committed to understanding and serving the unique needs of the autistic and wider neurodivergent community. My journey is not just academic or professional; it's deeply personal. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to my work. I am driven by a genuine passion to make a positive impact on the lives of those I have the privilege to support.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts & a Graduate Certificatre in Austism Studies (Griffith Uni) and a Diploma of Counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. My other qualifications include certificates in family counselling and counselling children & adolescents, areas that have shaped my understanding of the diverse needs and challenges young people and families face. My work is heavily informed by Dr. Ross Greene’s CPS (collaborative proactive solutions) model, and I strive to maintain a strengths based, neuro-affirming practice.
On a personal note, my journey as a parent to a neurodivergent child with complex support needs has deeply shaped my understanding and empathy. Navigating the challenges and joys of parenting a neurodivergent child has been a profound experience that has heightened my awareness and compassion. As a parent with firsthand experience, I understand the complexities and nuances involved in supporting neurodivergent children and their families. This personal journey underscores my commitment to serving as a compassionate guide for other parents facing similar paths.

Additionally, I have a special place in my heart for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), with experience with the LAMP Words for Life application, and am a fierce advocate for AAC use and rights.

My ultimate mission is to create a warm, understanding, and inviting space where neurodivergent individuals, children, and families can find the support they need. Together, we'll navigate the complexities of life, nurture growth, and promote holistic well-being. Your journey is unique, and I'm here to walk it with you.
